Frisco

still out in frisco with the british team been up powder riding in breck to day with some of the guys was fun going in and out the trees. :) tomorrow is my last day riding. :( It has been a fun few weeks with the team but haven't been able to ride much park because of the weather but the day's we did ride the park i got cab7 and improved my sb. :) Im looking forward to get back home and see my friends and mum and dad again. :)

storm/Breckenridge pow day

last night there was a storm in frisco the buses had to stop running nearly got stuck in copper with jamie sam and rowan but the bus driver managed to get us to main street had to walk back in the wind and snow from there... :'( today went up to breck with sam and row to ride some pow was fun but it was really cold.

woodward/keystone

the other night i was at woodward at cooper with rowan Coultas. Was so fun got fs9 and fs10 on tramp and was doing some sb9. :) There were 2 hot girls there our age so me and row showed them a few tricks. ;) haha The next day went up keystone with Sam Turnbull, was going for bs7 on medium line but over shot the second jump and landed on my back... but fine now. Today it is bad weather so having a day off, probably go up to woodward to night.

was up at keystone yesterday with Sam turnbull, Rowan Coultas, Jamie Nicholls and Gregor Samuels.

Was a sick day learnt cab 7 with Rowan to celebrate we went to KFC haha :) the jib line in keystone is sick has nearly every box or rail you could think of. On the down side i did fall on my back on a concrete rail fine now had a day of today now about to go to woodward.

Colorado USofA

Sorry not posted for a while, having problems with my laptop. I am now out in Colorado with Team GB. Hamish has sorted us a cool house in Frisco, close to Copper and Breckenridge. Weather has been cold and snowy since we arrived, although today was boiling, been up to Copper to ride the pipe which is in awesome condition and train in the woodward indoor trampoline / foam pits.

dachstein pleasure jam / yesterday dads Bday !!

arrived in dachstein yesterday, didn't go up for training because of bad weather and today qualifications were cancelled do to strong wind and snow but hopefully tomorrow will be good. :)

yesterday it was my dads Bday so happy birthday dad !!! Hope you had a fun day !! See you in a few days !! :) xxx

Hintertux

still in tux,

Tom Ewbank went back to the UK this morning so now by myself for tonight moving down to mayrhofen from tomorrow, staying at Tom West's place for a few days till team GB get here. :)

Havent got up the mountain much the past week because of bad weather but been doing a lot of jibbing around on the piste, hopefully this week will be better so I can land some 9° and try some bs 7° and cab 7°. :)

Hintertux

Had another day on tux glacier today unfortunately there were really strong winds, gusts of up to 60mph, so the kicker line was closed.:( So that i didn't waste the day tom and i sessioned a fun rail in the park.:)

The run-in was super sketchy because of the wind but i still managed to get cab 270° on 270° off; fs tail slide 270° out and bs tail slide 270 out .

Still in Hintertux been riding powder with Tom Ewbank who is coaching me for the week and has been teaching me Front side 9° Melon,Front side 7° Melon, Back side Rodeo's, and Back Flips. :)

Haven't got the 900° yet but super close will hopefully get them tomorrow. :)

Hintertux

Drove to Hintertux last night arrived very late so slept in the van in front of mcdonalds :) perfect for 7:00am breaky. Went up on the mountain today a bit cloudy but otherwise good no wind so could hit the big jumps straight away :) so happy i got back360 to front720 :) but new boot's were hurting :( new board and bindings were sick !! hopefully all be ok tomorrow.

Been skating this afternoon got my first kick flip on a ramp :) and now back in mcdonalds!

Forum Movie Premiere F###'IT

Went down to Lyon on Monday night for the new Forum movie premiere of F###'IT.

Was cool to meet up with Cedric from the program for France and then hang out with the international team.

The movie has funny intros, cool music and siiick riding, standout for me being John Jackson.

How cool is the tour bus! and thats me at the shop signing with Alek, Nic, Andreas, John, Pat, Daniel & Mario.

Junior World Champs

Over the last 2 weeks i have been riding Snowpark and Cardrona in preperation for the Junior World Championships in Wanaka New Zealand. I have been riding and training with Jimbo and Keith. Had an awesome time staying with the Team GB boardercross team (Jamie, Tom, Alex) at Eddie Spearings house in Wanaka.

We got to parade as a team around the streets of Wanaka, with all the other contries and our flags etc and around 350 atheletes, we also had a show put on as a welcome from the locals, which was cool.

Training went well with me landing my best runs ever in Slopestyle and Halfpipe. Slopestyle bs5, cab5, fs7. Halfpipe fs air, bs air, fs5, bs5, fs7.

The champs didnt go soo well! in Slopestyle damaged my board in last training run, completely messed my 1st qualifying run up fell on everything! my second run was going well until i overspun my 7 and completey snapped the board!! this was not good as halfpipe practice was to start next day and was not happy riding my spare deck, however the Forum guys came through for me and arranged for a new board at the local Wanaka shop, sooo stoked, thanks guys..

Halfpipe training was good, pipe in Cardrona very good, my new board was awesome, Stuck my safety run in training, air air 5 5 7, me very happy. 1st qualifying run, my bs air lost control at about 12 feet out of pipe slammed hard on coping, snapped my binding :( and landed on back to flat on bottom of pipe, never see Jimbo run so fast! he ran down the pipe to check i was ok. I was shook up and hurting but wanted to do my 2nd run. 2nd run all going good until i slipped out on my bs 5, dooh.

NZ Open Halfpipe

Practise went real well at Cardrona for the Burton NZ Open Halfpipe, i landed my first bs5's. My runs in qualifying didnt go so well, the weather changed and it was very windy! my front side and backside airs and my fs5 where sweet, fell each time on my bs5, dooh.. so i didnt make the next round, although was well happy with my days riding.

Today was finals day i stuck around to watch some awesome riding, and then had a chance to hit the pipe again when a best trick jam followed the end of the finals. 1st run and my 1st ever attempt i landed a perfect fs9 over 2m out of pipe! soo soooo happy, see pic, cheers Tom!

Down Under

Sorry havent had chance to update for a while.. Last week i went to Australia for the first time. Spent a few days exploring Sydney and seeing the sites. Then heading to the Snowy mountains and Thredbo for a few days for the World Rookie Fest. Event and park set up was cool, training went well, if a little wet! it rained all day! was good fun though as not many people hitting the park. Competition day didnt go so well didnt manage to stick my tricks.

Now in New Zealand, been travelling down the west coast of south island, which was like a tropical rain forest. Had a few days riding in Remarkables and Snowpark. Was cool to ride with Tom Ewbank, who give me some excellent tips on my backside spins. Landing all 5's on good sized jumps and trying some bs7's.

Today has been qualifying at NZ Burton Open up at Cardrona, wasnt really enjoying the slopestyle course :(

Looking forward to tommorrow halfpipe comp, the pipe is excellent and BIG!

Woodward

My week at Woodward at Copper Mountain Colorado USofA was SICK!!..

It was cool on arrival they roomed me with a buddy from last years camp, Tristan. Lots of the same faces where on the coaching staff and they all remembered me straight away!! cant think why?!!

They were so chuffed to show me that i had bagged the cover of the Woodward brochure, yep thats me in the pic above of the brochure! everywhere i went my picture and the brochure was all over the place.

I was hooked up with the legend that is Chad Otterstrom as my snowboard coach for the week, how cool is that..

I mate loads of amazing people and made lots of new friends.. Perry, Kenny, Mathilda, Julie, Ary, Victoria and loads more..

This year i spent most of my indoor time hitting the jump into the foam pit, rodeo 7's, fs double cork tails, double front and double backflips where the order of the week.. Unfortunatley the on mountain jump was too small to give these a go on the real stuff, so had to stick to honing my 7's. Mental note to myself to book an earlier week next year so mountain jump and park is bigger.

Our week this year was also the same week as a dance camp was being run! just GIRLS!! me, kenny and perry got plenty of phone numbers!!!..

Off down under now, hopefully get chance to try some of my new tricks on the snow, will keep you updated..

Forum Camp

Well this week has been amazing...

the weather has been perfect blue skies and no wind everyday, that is a first for me at Les 2 Alpes!!..

I have been mainly hitting up the quarter pipe, practising my 540 mctwists and 540 cripplers, and have now added 720 cripplers. Cant wait to put these all together for my halfpipe run. Just need to work on my fs900's now..

I have met some real good people and riding buddies, dont really want to leave Les 2 Alpes.. however tommorrow i am off to Colorado USofA and the Woodward snowboard camp at Copper mountain, where hopefully Chad Otterstrom (the legend) will be my coach, he has pretty much every trick in his book and with sick style..

Schools are out for Summer!

School has now finished for summer. been spending last few days down at the lake in Bozel with my friends. happy days..
Now in Les 2 Alpes for the week for the Forum camp, should be fun, watch this space..

NZ here i come!

Straight after being at Woodward, i am now heading to New Zealand for 5 weeks training and comps. I have a confirmed starting spots at Burton New Zealand Open halfpipe and slopestyle 10th - 14th Aug. and then later in August i will be competing at the World Junior Championships.

next time i will be back on my snowboard will be early July when i head up to the glacier at Les 2 Alpes, should be hooking up with the Forum team and also Team GB, should be a good week.
